I had my next 6 monthly checkup today, nothing much to report other than I'm still getting VT's and had about 7 in the last 6 months with only 1 treatment (pacing).
I guess that's a good thing, it just means that the ICD is doing it's thing along with the Bisoprolol. They do however want to see me sooner than 6 months just to keep an eye on things.
I had a funny scare the other day I took my tablet which are a maximum of 10mg and as I popped it I was like Sh*t...did I just take it twice today? that's 20mg...not good. So i'm like keep calm just think.
Haha I had images of my falling asleep on the train cause my heart has slowed down so much, to images of my just falling over as my heart stops cause I took too much. OD!!! who has that large needle to punch into my heart like Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction.
Then I remembered.."I have a pharmacist for a brother in law" lol saved!!! so I call him up and tell him what I think I did and like that he spills out in text book what symptoms I might expect and I should be all OK just drink alot of water and look out for these symptoms if they last too long call the hospital.
Oh and these symptoms are, light headed, dizziness, throwing up.
Good thing is I'm writing this today so I think I just panicked really.
Oh I have an update on Fabrice Muamba (the Bolton footballer that collapsed on pitch I wrote a mini blog on him here) Well I was reading a report on the Sky News app and was very impressed on what he is trying to do for everyone that could possibly collapse due to heart issues. You can read the report here. I would like to give him a mention,@fmuamba as he survived a great thing and I wish him all the best of luck like the rest of us living with a pacemaker.
